Resources for download

AdventureSmart invites you to download these resources, to share them widely on social media and your websites to ensure visitors to Aotearoa New Zealand are prepared for exploring our great outdoors.

Tiaki – Care for New Zealand was created through a collective desire to share a connection to the natural world, inspiring and helping visitors to travel safely and conscientiously.

To commit to travelling in this way is to take the Tiaki Promise.

New Zealand Search and Rescue (NZSAR)  and the Department of Conservation (DOC) have worked alongside Tiaki on the creation of a new outdoor safety video for international visitors. The video focuses on encouraging visitors to have a fantastic time by taking a couple of simple actions while exploring Aotearoa. As we’ve already seen some tragic incidents with international visitors getting into trouble out in nature since the borders reopened, it feels very timely.

One of the 5 pou/pillars of the Tiaki promise is to 'Be prepared'.

Our two-minute video 'Beautiful, wild, unpredictable: Be AdventureSmart in Aotearoa' provides broad advice to visitors, both international and domestic, which can be downloaded for social media, or embedded in your website.

A series of 15-second clips for social media or websites, which provide one message of advice about being prepared. View on YouTube or download from Dropbox.

We have a photo library of images from the Tiaki / Beautiful, Wild, Unpredictable video shoot. You're welcome to use these in accordance with our Creative Commons license.

Creating our video 'Beautiful, wild, unpredictable: Be AdventureSmart in Aotearoa' was a team effort. Take a look behind the scenes and see how the video was put together. You can also download the whakapapa (genealogy) of the people in the video.
